FAQs:

If I have a dog allergy and still want to commission you, can I?

My dog is not hypoallergenic and occupies my workspace and I occasionally burn incense. If you have serious dog allergies, I would recommend caution or not to commission for your health. knowing this, if you are willing to still commission, I will not be responsible for allergic reactions. I always sanitize my suits before sending out but it cannot guarantee fully ridding suit of possible allergens.

Is Shipping included in the price of the commission?

No, shipping will be determined once suit is complete and is customer’s responsibility to pay. Refer to Terms of Service for details on shipping process.

What kind of fabrics do you use and are you willing to give a discount if I send you fur?

I typically use luxury shag faux fur, minky, neoprene and lycra for my fabrics. I have used other materials and faux furs but it is on a project-by-project basis. I curate the fur using reference art and always check with the customer before ordering furs. I use suppliers that I am comfortable with using and no longer accept materials from customers to use for suits.

If I gave you a base, would you fur it and discount me for the base I supply?

No, I make my own bases in my studio using a 3-D printer and offer custom designs according to my style (both toony and realistic). I will not accept another maker’s base for a commission. There may be an exception if I take a skull base if I have not made a skull base in the time that a suit is commissioned, to which I will offer suppliers I am willing to work with but would prefer to order the skull myself if possible.

Does The Pyrate Cove serve customers that are racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc?

No, people who show current and active behaviors, beliefs or take actions involving things such as racism, homophobia, transphobia, bullying, harassment, and the like, both directed at me or told to me, as well as evidence that aforementioned views/ behaviors are shared publicly online/in person/etc., are not welcome to commission me. If I am to find out of this behavior, it is grounds for termination of commission unless customer shows signs of reform. In the chance that I am not able to acquire information that a customer is currently promoting hateful and dangerous ideologies until after suit is delivered to them or mostly if not completely completed, suit will be delivered and I will not affiliate with the customer moving forward and denounce their actions and behaviors. I still reserve the right to highlight the suit as part of my work.
